My name is Iris, and my mission is to help you break down the barriers that are holding you back from doing what you love.

I’m a licensed acupuncturist and jiu jitsu athlete who’s been on the mats since 2019. I’ve been through the highs and lows of the journey: injuries and re-injuries (concussions, pinched nerves, ligament tears, shoulder pain, groin pulls, etc…), time off the mats, burnout, the blue belt blues, changing gyms, moving, and managing my overall health.

I’ve learned firsthand how powerful the right plan of care can be.

Not just quality hands-on work, but also the way you live day to day; your treatment should continue outside of the treatment room. When recovery and lifestyle line up, you become stronger, more resilient, and able to show up fully for your coaches, teammates, friends, and family. You have the energy to do what you love without feeling held back by pain, setbacks, or life’s curveballs.

My journey started over a decade ago with massage therapy. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in strength training, yoga, BJJ, corrective exercise, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and more.

I want to share both my lived experience and my clinical expertise to help you heal smarter, perform better, and train longer without being told to “just stop training.” Because you deserve a clinician who understands.

I can help with acute or chronic pain and injury, recovery optimization through hands-on work and virtual visits, and so much more. I combine Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with Orthopedic style acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, massage therapy, corrective exercise, and virtual 1:1 support to help you feel better faster.

I am licensed in massage therapy, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine (Nationally Board-Certified by NCCAOM) and certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.

My Journey

I've been on the mats training jiu jitsu since 2019. I loved to train hard, but got sick of experiencing constant injury and feeling like my health was out of my hands. I turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture, and lifting to thrive, and now I help others do the same.

As a patient, I was frustrated with the model of indefinite 1x/week appointments with no support outside of the treatment room. It felt like a huge piece of the puzzle was missing. Sure, I got an hour of treatment each week... but what about the other 167 hours of my week? 

As a provider, I made it my mission to support my patients in AND out of the treatment room. So you know exactly what you need to be doing to feel better faster and keep doing what you love. As a high-performing athlete, you deserve to feel that autonomy and self-responsibility, and to be able to rely on someone without being dependent on them to feel good.

It's never just the one injury or the thing that you've been diagnosed with. It's everything that led up to that point, and everything that's happened since. Deep healing, recovery, and the ability to thrive require an understanding of every piece of the puzzle.
